This 240-square-foot room might not look like much—more like a glorified storage closet to some—but to me, it’s a cozy haven that’s sparked my love for woodworking and building for others. It’s where I’ve spent countless hours dreaming up new ideas, wrestling with projects, and slowly improving my skills through trial, error, and the occasional splinter. .
Not only has it fueled my passion, but it also shows who I am—turned into a personal space where I’ve covered nearly every wall with tool storage, work keepsakes, and photos of family and friends. My favorite tools live here, alongside some sentimental odds and ends and a beer fridge always stocked for buddies who may drop by out of nowhere. It’s more than a “man cave”—it’s a place I’m proud of, always shifting. Some days it’s a chaotic mess with project parts tripping me up, other days it’s clean and open, ready for my kids’ birthday parties with tools and scrap wood neatly stashed

Pegboard tool wall. Obviously a big fan of the yellow and black tools.
The pegboard organization will likely be going away soon, it worked great at first but I have outgrown this method, hopefully I will be replacing with a French cleat system.
